Beta ~ Negative

Well as the title says I got the beta results…Negative.

Things I have learned this cycle

  1. How to do my own PIO shots
  2. How to not faint when getting blood taken
  3. It’s OK to cry… ALOT
  4. The more failed IVFs doesn’t make it any easier
  5. It’s possible for your heart to break multiple times
  6. I respond slow to stims…that’s just the way it is
  7. Blogging has helped me create an outlet to get my mind off things
  8. There are many, many couples going through this heartache too
  9. Not testing out the trigger is the way to go
  10. This journey is going to be longer than I ever imagined

  1. Kim, so sorry about the bfn, it’s just not fair! Cry as much as you need and treat yourself to some of your fave foods that aren’t pregnancy friendly – Id have a nice hot spa or bath too since that’s what I seem to miss the most. Looking forward to your update after this weeks appt, Wednesday? If your dr will let you try things like prednisone and lovenox without going through immune testing I say go for it – good luck honey, surely it’s your turn next xxx

    • Thank you Jess! I I hope we get our BFP ASAP but I am also ready for a long battle. I will be taking advantage of all the things I can’t do during IVF!

  2. I’m so sorry, Kim. I am learning to accept No. 3. I’m a “tough girl” but am starting to realize sometimes you just have to let it out. I’m keeping you in my thoughts.

  4. So sorry to hear it about your negative beta. It hurts and takes time to heal after each cycle. I was a mess after my first failed ivf cycle.

    When is your WTF appointment? I’ll be curious to see what they say. I hope they learned something new from this cycle that will help next time.

    Hang in there. I know it’s rough – and you’re right – additional failures don’t make the disappointments any less devastating.

    • My WTF appointment is Weds. The Dr just called and wants us to do some Karyotype test to check for chromosomal issues. So we will see where that takes us.
