Friday consisted of work, a root canal and then minor food poisoning after going out to dinner with the in-laws for their 49th anniversary. As you can imagine it was not the greatest day!
Feeling better I started this weekend with a great workout. I woke up Saturday morning at 6 am and was at the gym by 6:30. It was dead and I love having the place to myself. It made me realize what I have been missing. Working out is such a big part of my life. I started with a shoulder workout and then intervals. My interval workout I had taken from Shape magazine. Burned a hefty 250 calories.
After the sweat session, I went up north with my sister to go visit my Dad and his girlfriend in the white mountains. It was absolutely gorgeous. We spent the day on the river sipping some wine, swimming and sunbathing. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take more pictures because my phone got wet when we were crossing the river and I slipped on a rock!
So me and my sister were having a nice relaxing swim and all of a sudden she asks my dad what is on the bottom of her foot. It was a leech!!! Nasty. He had to peel it off. Needless to say we got out of the river and were done swimming for the day. And tomorrow is the dreaded Monday and a Leg Day for me. Hope it goes quickly.
